Boop Oop A Doop

Guess who’s coming to Broadway?
A new musical will soon open featuring Betty Boop.
The show will be produced by Ostar Productions and will feature music by Grammy Award winner David Foster. The projected debut is set for the 2010-2011 season.
But why would Foster even sign up for this?
He’s a 15 time Grammy Award winner and has made hits for Barbra Streisand, Celine Dion, Andrea Bocelli, Whitney Houston and Josh Groban just to name a few.
Foster will now mark his Broadway debut with Betty Boop.
As for Ms. Boop, she first entered the scene in the 1930s and was created by Max Fleischer as the first and only female cartoon star of that time.
Boop is also the first cartoon character to be profiled by A&E’s Biography series.
As for the musical, it will feature Betty Boop along with her friends, Koko and Bimbo, trying to “work her irresistible charm in reuniting her grandfather (who has created the Greatest Invention of Mankind) with the long-lost, true love of his life, while saving the Happy Heart Theater from the developer’s bulldozers.”
