BORNS is flat out denying the allegations of sexual manipulation made against him by multiple women on social media this week.
The indie rocker has been accused of meeting young female fans at concerts or on social media and, later, coercing them into sending him nude photos. One of the more startling claims comes from a woman who says the artist made unwelcome sexual advances towards her when she was just 16 years old.

All that was said to have happened between the two was an unwanted caress of the leg — but months later, when the accuser says she turned 17, BORNS allegedly hit her up on social media and persuaded her to send him nude photos of herself.
The woman claims the performer, whom she “idolized,” would groom her by making her feel special, then ghost her if she refused to send him a sexy picture or video at his request. She says this went on for a year and a half, and that eventually, BORNS would only speak to her “when he was lustful.”
Each accusation details a similar tactic: the artist hit up young girls he knew worshiped him, made them feel “safe” and “special,” then manipulated them into sharing things they didn’t want to share out of fear of losing the close connection with him.

The way BORNS sees it, he didn’t do anything wrong as all the encounters were “consensual.” He wrote in a statement posted to Instagram:
“I am both hurt and angered over the disturbing and false allegations that have been spread over the past few days on social media. All of the relationships I had were legal and consensual. They ended abruptly and that obviously caused hurt feelings, but for anyone to suggest anything beyond that is irresponsible.”
Spreading damaging claims about someone may be irresponsible — but so is manipulating teenage girls who worship you into sending pics of, as BORNS so poetically wrote, their “pretty asshole.”
