Boy Meets World Alum Will Friedle Rushed To Hospital For THIS! OMG!

Boy Meets World Alum Will Friedle Rushed To Hospital For THIS! OMG!

Talk about a scary trip to the ER!

Boy Meets World star Will Friedle had a frightening health scare last week after discovering blood in his urine. Yikes!

The 50-year-old actor, best known for playing Eric Matthews on the beloved ABC sitcom, opened up about the ordeal on Thursday’s episode of his Pod Meets World podcast, revealing that he was diagnosed with a kidney stone.

According to Friedle, the trouble started when he got up to use the bathroom in the middle of the night and noticed something seriously alarming. But it was his wife, Susan Martens, who ultimately helped convince him that a hospital visit was necessary after noticing how pale he had become. Thank goodness she was paying attention!

The actor has since been dealing with the kidney stone and joked about the possibility of having to cut his podcast appearance short if he needed to pass it. As he put it:

“I’m still in the midst of this thing.”

Ouch!

(BTW, according to Cleveland Clinic, blood in the urine is a common symptom of kidney stones, so his discovery was certainly cause for concern.)

But here’s where things took a VERY unexpected turn! Apparently, Friedle’s hospital visit became a celebrity encounter of its own, with doctors and nurses recognizing him from his days playing Cory Matthews’ big brother on Boy Meets World. Who knew a trip to the ER could turn into a nostalgic fan convention?!?!

Reflecting on the experience, Friedle said:

“For some reason, on this day, in that hospital, I was more famous than I’ve ever been in my life.”

LOLz!

He then added:

“Talk about the perfect place to be recognized.”

No kidding! And wait, there’s more!

One nurse even approached the actor and performed his iconic “Feeny call,” the unforgettable shout directed at beloved teacher Mr. Feeny on the sitcom. Now THAT is a hospital moment he probably wasn’t expecting!

Of course, this isn’t the first time Friedle has gotten candid about his health. He has previously discussed his long-standing struggles with anxiety, revealing on Pod Meets World back in January of this year that his symptoms first emerged while filming the show’s final season in the late ’90s. He has also spoken about learning to manage the condition over the years.

For now, we hope this kidney stone situation passes quickly and Friedle is feeling better soon!

While a surprise Boy Meets World reunion in the hospital sounds entertaining, we’d much rather see him enjoying a healthy life outside the ER!
