Sesame Street Welcomes Hungry Muppet Aboard To Teach Children About Poverty!

This is why we love Sesame Street!
They continue to set a responsible example by seamlessly educating children on the real issues.
Next on their to-do list is poverty!
With the US Department of Agriculture reporting “17 million American children have limited or uncertain access to food,” Sesame Street felt compelled to raise awareness.
In comes pink-faced Lily, a muppet who suffers food insecurity with her family. Her debut will be accompanied by Brad Paisley and his wife for the October 9 special – Growing Hope Against Hunger.
In a statement, Brad and his wife comment on the issue at hand:

Food insecurity is a growing and difficult issue for adults to discuss, much less children. We are honored that Sesame Street, with its long history of tackling difficult issues with sensitivity, caring, and warmth asked us to be a part of this important project.

Good for them! They should feel very honored. They have the chance to really impact the lives of children everywhere through knowledge and awareness.
We smell another Emmy!!!
