Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie's Daughter Vivienne's Bid To Drop His Last Name Continues -- New Details

No change of heart here.

As we reported back in July, Vivienne is the latest of Brangelina’s children to make a legal effort to distance herself from father Brad Pitt. And now, the next shoe in that bid to make it official has dropped.

As required by California courts, Angelina Jolie‘s 18-year-old daughter has published intent to legally drop “Pitt” in a local newspaper, specifically the Los Angeles Daily Journal.

Proof of publication, check!

She’ll learn more on November 2, when the court hearing is scheduled. If the court grants her request, she’ll move forward as Vivienne Marcheline Jolie.

The karate black belt holder follows in the footsteps of Knox, 18, Shiloh, 20, Zahara, 21, and Maddox, 25. Pax, 22, is the only currently keeping the Pitt name, but reportedly not out of closeness to Brad. Instead, Page Six reports the reasoning:

“Pax still has a relationship with his dad’s side of the family and continues to spend time with them. He recently joined his family as they went out to dinner and celebrated his cousin Sydney’s engagement to Archimede Jerome.”

Brad and Angelina first got together in 2004, married in 2014, separated after a tumultuous plane trip in 2016, and finally divorced in 2024.

Ever since the fallout of that fateful flight, Angelina and the children have distanced themselves from the now 62-year-old actor.
