Following the news of Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt‘s divorce plans, People Magazine revealed the actor used their lavish $60 million dollar estate in France as a sanctuary amidst their explosive fights. As we previously reported, the pair bickered A LOT throughout their two-year marriage.

Per the mag’s allegations, Brad’s “strict” parenting contributed to a bulk of the pair’s disagreements. The exes’ philosophical differences often became too intense that Mr. Pitt felt compelled to flee the country.
One insider revealed:
“Brad has always been stricter. He has wanted the kids to have more structure. Brad will get frustrated sometimes and yell at the kids. Angelina always had a more relaxed attitude when it came to the kids. She definitely never yells.”
Well, we guess the father has a lot of recent stamps on his passport given the circumstances…
As for B.P.’s “saddened” state following the divorce filing, a source confirmed the split is still a bit of a shock for the 52-year-old:
“The divorce is a complete shock. They have definitely spent more time apart this year, but it’s still a shock.”
We can’t say we disagree with the “shock” factor of this split — many fans are stunned right now!
