Brad Pitt Loves The Gays, Donates $100k To Marriage Equality!

Election day is fast approaching, and we’re hoping that people are focusing just as much on equality (be it gay rights, or women’s rights) as they are the other major issues, like foreign policy, the economy, and education. You know, so we don’t reset the clock back 50 years in terms of treating people like people.
Brad Pitt sure does not want that to happen, so he’s doing something about it BESIDES voting! It’s true, Brad has donated a hefty sum of money in support of marriage equality.
We’re talking $100,000 to the Human Rights Campaign, which supports efforts in campaigning for marriage equality in Maine, Maryland, Minnesota and Washington State.
After pledging such a generous amount, Brad eloquently explained his position, saying:

“It’s unbelievable to me that people’s lives and relationships are literally being voted on in a matter of days. If you’re like me, you don’t want to have to ask yourself on the day after the election, what else could I have done?”

This isn’t the first time he’s publicly supported it either — here’s what he said in 2011 after NY legalized same-sex marriage:

“It is each American’s Constitutional right to marry the person they love, no matter what state they inhabit. No state should decide who can marry and who cannot.”

Exactly. Just like how Government isn’t meant to force religious ideals on people (newsflash, not everyone in country follows the same religion, and has a right to believe what they want without someone else’s religion affecting laws), or to tell a woman what to do with her body.
We love you Brad, we think this is an amazing thing to do. We wish more people had the urge to stand up like you do!
