Yiiiikes!
There is SO much drama behind the scenes of Brad Pitt‘s “genre changing” zombie movie, insiders are starting to think the $170 million-plus flick is a lost cause!
Here’s the BIG problem:
The Pitt — who is producing World War Z — chose Marc Forster (The Kite Runner, Finding Neverland) to direct. BUT Marc had very little experience with high-effects, so the studio forced him to bring along a well seasoned (and very opinionated) players.
The result: a creative clusterf*ck.
One Z insider says:
“The director was not empowered. There was nobody that steered the ship. ├óΓé¼┬ª When you get [a director] who can├óΓé¼Γäót do it all ├óΓé¼┬ª you get a struggle as to whose is the singular voice.”
There are still hopes that the movie can be saved. Howevs, as of right now:
“It├óΓé¼Γäós a great first 45 minutes, maybe even an hour.”
Paramount recently hired Damon Lindelof to rewrite the third act.
Hopefully that will save improve the rest of the film!
