Brandon Truaxe, the founder of the Canadian skincare company, Deciem, has passed away in Toronto. He was just 40 years old.

The company made the unexpected announcement on Monday afternoon in an Instagram post, as you can see (below):
Truaxe launched the Deciem brand way back in 2013, and had long been praised for the success and affordability of his skincare line The Ordinary. In October 2018, he was ousted as co-CEO of the company after a series of erratic social media posts.
According to a report in the Wall Street Journal, police in Toronto have recovered the body of somebody who had fallen from the condo building that Truaxe gave as his address in his final Instagram post Saturday.
Truaxe’s cause of death has not been publicly confirmed.
