Toni Braxton has had a pretty bad time with her health this year!
As y’all know, Toni’s heart problems forced the closing down of her Vegas stage show. She was later replaced by the Osmonds, Donny & Marie.
Now, the singer is revealing that she didn’t appear on the finale of Dancing With the Stars last month because turns out Braxton had a benign tumor removed from her breast the week before the finale.
According to Toni, she knew about the tumor before she appeared on the show, but she scheduled the surgery to remove it only after being eliminated in October.
She says, “Getting the boot on the show was actually a blessing in disguise for me. My grandmother on my dad’s side died of breast cancer, and I have aunts on both sides that have breast cancer.”
Why would she risk it? Why not have had it removed months ago before joining the show? Is DWTS really that important?
Thankfully, though, Braxton is doing much better now after surgery. She is even scheduled to appear on the DWTS tour later this month.
