Just hours before Roman Polanski was arrested in Zurich for his 1977 crime of drugging and raping a 13-year-old girl, director Brett Ratner was giving an interview announcing his plans to produce the sequel to Marina Zenovich’s 2008 documentary on the infamous director.
He also revealed that Polanski has agreed to participate in the sequel and goes on to defend him:
“The family has forgiven [Polanski]. The victim has forgiven him. The rest of the world has forgiven him. The LA judicial system is corrupt. It’s horrible.”
Forgiveness aside, that isn’t how our justice system works! He didn’t serve his time and that’s the problem.
Polanski’s lawyer says that the director intends to fight extradition back to the US and that he is “determined to defend himself.”
So because he’s a brilliant director he should get a pass for committing a vile and disgusting crime?
We don’t think so!
