Brian Austin Green Reveals The 'Stupid Little' Sign Megan Fox Was Done With Their Marriage!

We’re sure there were plenty of BIG reasons Brian Austin Green and Megan Fox didn’t work out… But let’s not forget the little things, too!

During Tuesday’s episode of the misSPELLING podcast, Brian and host Tori Spelling reflected on his marriage to the Transformers star — and aired out all the “stupid little stuff” she apparently got “annoyed” by! Talking to her Beverly Hills, 90210 co-star, Tori recalled she even saw it:

“It annoyed Megan when you chewed ’cause she thought she could hear it. And I remember thinking at the time, ‘How bad could it be? She loves him. Like why – that really bothers her?'”

Yikes! Clearly that one hit Tori the wrong way if she remembered it all these years later!

Brian explained the chewing issue didn’t just pop up out of nowhere one day, though. In fact, he feels it was indicative of the state of their relationship at the time:

“I honestly think that the chewing thing was just, like, she’d gotten to the point, I think, where things just weren’t great, so I was just — it was… Everything was annoying her. You kind of get to that point where you’re like, ‘Just the way you’re shuffling your feet right now, the way you’re putting that toast in the toaster is just driving me crazy.’ It’s all that stupid little stuff, you know?”

Def NOT a good sign for a relationship! Seems like it was the big things filtering down to the little things.

And he knew they would have to REALLY work on the relationship if they were going to save it:

“And then, that to me is when you have to make the choice of going, okay, we either are gonna go into therapy, and we’re gonna try and find our connection and figure out what’s going on now, or these things are gonna sink us. They’re gonna be the death of us, because they just build up and build up and get worse and worse and worse. And you start — every little thing, every little thing starts bugging you.”

But things DID get “worse and worse” instead of better. Megan first filed for divorce in 2015, though the two did rekindle things for a few years. Then Megan went off to film a movie and fell in love with Machine Gun Kelly — and she and Brian officially split for good in 2020, finalizing their divorce the following year. Yeah, we guess getting annoyed by something as small as chewing is a BIG red flag.
