Reports Say Brian Williams Is Expected To Stay At NBC -- But Not As An Anchor! Lester Holt Will Take Over Nightly News!

According to reports Lester Holt will anchor NBC Nightly News in place of Brian Williams.
Brian Williams got in quite a bit of hot water after he got caught embellishing stories.
Back in February, he wound up suspended from his position at NBC as the anchor on Nightly News. But now, CNN is reporting that the 56-year-old has struck a tentative deal with the network to keep him on their roster after his punishment is up in August.
But, the report says he won’t be getting all cozy in his familiar chair behind the Nightly News desk.

According to the Wall Street Journal‘s Twitter account, Lester Holt will be filling that seat. They wrote:

People have been wondering whether or not Brian was going to be welcomed back to NBC after his scandal died down, and now it looks like we have our answer.
While it appears Brian will remain at the network once his suspension runs its course, we don’t yet know the extent of the role he will play — only that it will be a new one.
Those who are familiar with this tentative plan told CNN that the network could open up about the TV personality’s position as early as Thursday.
