Real Housewives of Orange County star Briana Culberson has been hospitalized at UNC Health Care in North Carolina for lupus complications, according to husband Ryan on Monday.

On Instagram, he shared the (above) photo of Vicki Gunvalson‘s daughter in a hospital bed with the caption:
“Please keep my wife in your thoughts and prayers! Her lupus is causing inflammation around her heart and is causing it to go in and out of irregular heart rhythms now requiring her to have a cardiac ablation. #lupus #lupussucks#lupusawareness #fucklupus”
According to Mayo Clinic, cardiac ablation “is a procedure that can correct heart rhythm problems (arrhythmias)” and “works by scarring or destroying tissue in your heart that triggers or sustains an abnormal heart rhythm.”
As we reported in 2016, during the RHOC season 11 finale, the OG from the OC revealed Briana’s lupus diagnosis. The incurable inflammatory disease is caused when the immune system attacks its own tissues.
On Tuesday, Ryan shared a video on Instagram Story of him and his sons driving to visit Briana in the hospital.
In 2015, Briana discovered she was cancer-free after medical professionals removed enlarged lymph nodes from her body.
