Bride Responds To Speculation She’s A ‘Horrible Person’ After Practically NO ONE Showed Up To Her Wedding!

A bride is speaking out after almost NO ONE showed up to her wedding — and the internet blamed her for it!

A TikTok user has gone viral after sharing sad, sad, sad footage from her wedding last week… Which, like, basically no one showed up to. In the video, the woman, who goes by Kalina Marie on the app, enters her wedding venue with her groom and son, and the room is pretty much empty! Seriously, there are maybe five guests. Total! Still, the trio walk down the aisle together and Kalina and her man go in for a kiss. She wrote over the footage:

“POV: you planned the most beautiful entrance. Just to open the doors to an empty venue.”

She shared more details about the upsetting ceremony in her caption, writing:

“This is our entrance to our Masqurade [sic] ball. The Masqurade [sic] ball that I have talked EXCESSIVELY about for the last 10 months. The same ball that I not only digitally invited over 75 people to. But ALSO spent money to send 25 beautiful invitations out to. FIVE PEOPLE SHOWED UP!!!!!!! Like, are you kidding me!?!?”

Yikes… She continued:

“As you see in the video, we enter the venue. And no one is there. The invite said 1pm. My mom messaged me at 1:15 that no one was there. My husband and I finally showed up at 2oclock, to 5 people. In a venue planned for 40. I dreamed that I would walk in to a bunch of people cheering us on. Hooting and hollering for us in celebration……but all you see is a woman trying to hold herself together because she had NO idea how to deal with her venue being almost completely empty.”

That’s really sad! The new bride went on:

“All the wasted food and drinks. All the empty tables and chairs. Every moment of my reception changed to adapt. Did we still make the most of it?? You bet your SWEET @$$ we did. But did this video just take all the good moments and shoot them out of the water for a second, F$&K yea it did. It just makes me think, like, why? What did we do? Am I that bad of a person? What did my husband ever do to deserve any of this? Why couldn’t we matter enough for people to show up? I still have ‘friends’ that haven’t even messaged me to congratulate me or tell me why they didn’t come. It truly makes me sick. I honestly can’t wrap my head around this yet.”

Messed up! However, she left off on a hopeful note:

“But all I know is, I have my man. My baby. And family that shows up when I need them. And for that, I will be thankful

The TikTok has since been viewed over 9.1 million times and users have flooded her comments with hopeful messages of support, even telling her to have ANOTHER ceremony, and that they’d show up for it. Awww!

In a subsequent vid, she thanked everyone for all the support, but said she came to a realization in the empty venue:

“But, like many of you have said. My little group is really all I need. And now I truly know, who is there for me and who is not. I will just be forever grateful that so many people got to see the entrance I dreamed about for so long”

Replying to @keep_aiming_forward First off, I would just like to say a HUGE thank you to everyone for all of your amazing love and support. When I posted my wedding reception entrance video, I had just about 6K followers. And I figured, since no one else got to see our entrance. At least my TikTok friends could. Never in 1 million years did I imagine my video would blow up the way it did. I am completely overwhelmed. Between feeling the love and support from TikTok. But also having to deal with the grief of deleting a lot of people out of our lives. It has been a whirlwind of emotions since this happened just this last Saturday. Thank you all so much for offering a redo, wouldn’t that be amazing? But, like many of you have said. My little group is really all I need. And now I truly know, who is there for me and who is not. I will just be forever grateful that so many people got to see the entrance I dreamed about for so long ????❤️????????????❤️???????? Please enjoy this clip of mine and my husband first and only dance. And the moment we told each other we were all we needed and it was us against the world ????????????????????

However, the tide eventually turned negative… as users began to speculate that she “must be such a horrible person” to warrant being snubbed by so many on her special day. OMG!

But this newlywed WON’T stand for it! In a since-deleted video, she wrote:

“Imagine hating on someone you don’t even know because you’re jealous of the attention they got for one of the most embarrassing moments of their life. yes im a real person. Yes I have real feelings. And yes im still trying to work through everything. And I appreciate all the POSITIVE and ENCOURAGING words that have been shared. I will take them and keep them with me always. much love to you all”

Replying to @Jacob Cowen you all truly take my breath away. And I will be forever grateful. Please don’t feel as though you have to send us anything at all, but I would love to see some cards from all over the world. Kalina and Shane, PO Box 1047, Saint Helens Oregon. 97051

Replying to @ivysnana1 today one week since that happened. And I still ask myself why every day. But I am thankful that I have my husband and my son to remind me exactly why we will get past this and we will get through this. Thank you all for your questions and I truly hope this clears some things up for eveyone. Edit: my mom is a chef and that’s why she made all of the food. And it is very common nowadays to have a private wedding ceremony and a reception after the fact. So for those who say they wouldn’t come to the reception because they werent invited to the wedding. I’m sorry that’s your attitude. but it’s kind of the Trent nowadays to have two separate events.
