Millie Bobby Brown will need to do a lot more than just dye her hair blonde to convince Britney Spears that she should play her in a movie!
In case you missed it, the 21-year-old actress underwent a massive hair transformation a few weeks ago, debuting a new platinum blonde ‘do. She’s even been posting a lot of ‘90s and Y2K-inspired pictures on social media lately! So, fans have speculated she changed her look to try to score the role of the pop star in the upcoming new biopic! Yes really!
Back in August, Universal Studios snagged the rights to create a film based on her book The Woman In Me and got Jon M. Chu to direct. It is unknown if casting has even begun. However, Millie seemingly has thrown her hat in the ring! And she’s doing everything she can to get the role because she wants it so BADLY! A source told Dailymail.com on Saturday:
“Millie Bobby Brown is so desperate to play Britney that those close to her feel it has become her life mission right now. She believes she was born for this role.”

We totally think Millie could pull off portraying Britney! But does the singer think so? Bad news for the Stranger Things star! She doesn’t! The insider shared Millie has “not spoken directly with Britney” but the Crossroads actress has “seen her audition tape,” adding:
“The problem is, Britney isn’t on board. She doesn’t see the resemblance.”
Uh oh!
This is a huge problem for Millie! John previously told Entertainment Tonight that Britney “will be very involved” in the movie, so if she doesn’t think the Enola star is the right fit, then there goes her dreams of playing the Grammy winner! However, Millie isn’t giving up! She is determined to convince Brit to give her a chance! The source said:
“Her new look is clearly an attempt to show she can embody Britney.”
Millie supposedly has even gone as far as to use her father-in-law Jon Bon Jovi’s “connections” to help her out:
“She has been trying to leverage connections through her well-connected father-in-law in a bid to land the role that she has dreamed of long before a biopic was even announced.”
But no matter what the young star does, Britney is just “not convinced” right now! The insider continued:
“The casting process has been going on for months, and if Millie were the perfect choice, they would have cast her by now. They can make her look like Britney with prosthetics and makeup, but ultimately, Britney will make the final call, and she’s not convinced by Millie right now.”
Oof! Good luck to Millie! She’s going to need it to win over Britney!
