She’s on her way, but not quite there.
Recently, a report came out that Britney Spears’ new Las Vegas show had higher ticket sales than any other, including the likes of Celine Dion and Elton John!
Welp, it turns out the report was flawed.
The info was only taken from StubHub, not allllll of the places that sold tickets to the show. So, people did some digging and Yahoo Music came up with the real stats:
├óΓé¼┼ôWe contacted Billboard’s BoxScore, which confirms her first four shows ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ on Dec. 27, 28, 30 and 31 ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ all sold-out with total attendance of 17,803 and gross of $2,470,021, or an average of 4,450 tickets and $617,505 gross per show.
By comparison, Elton John’s “Million Dollar Piano” at Caesars Palace sold out all 14 of its shows in its recently wrapped seventh leg that ran from Sept. 18-Oct. 12, selling 57,889 tickets and pulling in $8,930,160 for an average of 4,134 tickets and $637,868 gross per show.
Celine Dion’s four shows at Caesars Palace from Dec. 30-Jan. 5 all sold out, selling 17,004 tickets and grossing $2,869,070 ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ an average of 4,251 tickets and $717,267 in sales per show.
Rod Stewart completed a nine-show run at Caesars Palace in November, with three sell-outs, selling a total of 33,213 tickets and totaling $4,091,540 —an average of 3,690 tickets and $454,615 gross per show.
Shania Twain, who also played Caesars Palace, wrapped a 10-show run in late November and early December, selling 30,966 tickets and grossing $3,504,748 for an average of 3,096 tickets and $350,474 gross per show.”
That’s a whole lot of numbers, and a whole lot of ca$$$h!
But it’s still easy to see that Brit shouldn’t have a problem being one of the top acts, especially since she’s off to such a fab start!
