Oh, BTS!
On Thursday, Vogue revealed a new video (above) in collaboration with the boy band filmed back in November, and it has the seven members getting “hella lit” in Los Angeles!
Video: BTS Surprises Their Shook Superfans!
You know, if hella lit means riding in a party bus and hanging out in a Dave & Buster’s to celebrate being the first K-pop group to get a full Vogue shoot! Plus, the clip shows Jungkook, RM, Jimin, V, J-Hope, Suga, and Jin filming for what their ARMY can only hope is an upcoming editorial!
Unfortunately for them, not everything is going great for the boy group as they’re also receiving heat for controversial comments made about Native Americans during a semi-recent RUN episode:
I’m tired of @BTS_twt racism being covered up by their fans. Their fandom screams they are educated but here we have in 2018 they are still mocking Native Americans. Instead of unstanning the fandom wants to cover it up so it doesn’t blow up to protect them rather than correct pic.twitter.com/ognDNtpcyR

And you can see some of the disappointed reactions (below):
As a person of colour I’m about done with the blatant racism in K-pop (this goes for all groups including bts) and I find it disgusting that people are defending the Native American situation in the recent run episode, I’m an army but I have morals #bts

love how ppl that stan other groups are like “lol bts being racist?? we been knew xD” and then defend their own faves when they do the same shit. racism is not a competition hold all idols accountable thank u

what bts said in the recent run episode is indeed racist and needs to be called out . if youre not NA or a poc you dont have a say .

alright, i’m speaking on this because i’m absolutely bothered right now. First off, I want to say that I don’t listen to boy groups so I hold absolutely no bias over this what so ever. Regardless if I did, it doesn’t change the fact that what BTS did was offensive and racist

Are you Native American? Do you know how disrespectful it is to call us Indians? I am not Indian. I am Native American and so are some of my friends who also support bts. The simple fact is that term, even if it was unintentional, was racist.
