A rock adaptation of Romeo and Juliet is making it’s way to the Great White Way in the 2010-11 season.
The show, titled The Last Goodbye, will be a musical rendition of the classic Bard play, featuring songs from the late Jeff Buckley. Tunes such as Lover, You Should’ve Come Over and Eternal Life, will be woven together with dialogue directly taken from Shakespeare’s famous love story.
No word on casting as of yet, but the show is already receiving some major buzz after a concert version of Last Goodbye sold out last year at Joe’s Pub at the Public Theater.
Could be really good, we think.
