Burton and Murray Wanted Out Of The Hill

At the CW “upfronts” this Thursday, it was confirmed that One Tree Hill will remain on the CW schedule, despite the loss of two main characters, played by Chad Michael Murray and Hilarie Burton.

The news of their departure spawned a lot of speculation and rumor, most of which discussed the pair wanting more money, which Burton denied.

But, after hearing what CW entertainment president Dawn Ostroff has to say, we’re thinking they were just greedy bitches. She told TV Guide: “We tried to get them to stay; we would have been thrilled if they wanted to.”

So, they didn’t want to? Why wouldn’t they? Like they have soooo much going for them.

It was totally about money.

But Ostroff doesn’t want fans to worry. The show will carry on: “We look at shows like ER, shows that go on for many, many years, and a lot of those casts go through different people. So we are sad to see [Chad and Hilarie] go ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ and grateful for everything they did for the show ├óΓé¼ΓÇ¥ but excited about seeing who else is going to join the cast.”

Watch the show gets 1,000 times better without them!
