This is so sad.
Back in early October YouTube personality Caleb Logan — best known for being part of of the Bratayley family who post home videos on the video sharing site — tragically passed away.
Caleb’s mother, Katie, took to Instagram at the time to share the news and in the post she mentioned that her son had died from “natural causes.”

Just a day later Katie shared that the doctors confirmed the 13-year-old’s death was a result of an “undetected medical condition” but didn’t specify what the condition was.
Well now the grieving mom has decided the share the cause of death with another post to Instagram saying:
The doctor confirmed today that Caleb passed away from a heart condition called Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy that went undetected in his yearly checkups. Caleb didn’t have any symptoms so the doctor said there was nothing we could have done differently. The girls’ hearts were just recently checked and thankfully look the way they should right now. The sadness of losing someone you love is unimaginable. Thank you to everyone who has reached out, your kindness and support continues to help our family. Previously a source that told E! that there was a family history of the condition so we’re glad the Bratayley family got their girls checked out.
Thankfully, it seems everyone else is healthy.
We’re still extremely sad over Caleb’s death and we hope that by sharing the information, it will help the family cope with their loss.
Our hearts go our to those affected by this tragic loss.
