California Highway Patrol Officer Caught Stealing Nude Photos From A Suspect's Phone Reveals He & Colleagues Have Been Trading Such Pics For Years!

This is awful!
Initially, only a single California Highway Patrol officer was in hot water after he admitted that he stole nude photos from the cell phone of a DUI suspect.
But now the 35-year-old cop named Sean Harrington may have opened up a whole other can of worms after admitting that he’s been stealing nude photos from suspects for five years and he subsequently would TRADE them to colleagues!
Including one patrolman named Robert Hazelwood!
Here’s what the original article said:

“In the search warrant affidavit, senior Contra Costa district attorney inspector Darryl Holcombe wrote that he found probable cause to show both CHP officers Harrington and Hazelwood and others engaged in a ‘scheme to unlawfully access the cell phone of female arrestees by intentionally gaining access to their cell phone and without their knowledge, stealing and retaining nude or partially clothed photographs of them.’ That behavior constitutes felony computer theft, the affidavit said.”

One especially awful exchange between these two highway patrolmen happened after Harrington texted Hazelwood this:

“Taken from the phone of my 10-15x while she’s in X-rays. Enjoy buddy!!!”

Hazelwood responded angrily that the photos weren’t nudes, texting back:

“No f**king nudes?”

Gross!
The attorney for the woman who originally reported on Sean Harrington was obviously very displeased with all of this. Here’s what Rick Madsen said:

“The callousness and depravity with which these officers communicated about my client is dehumanizing, horribly offensive and degrading to all women. It’s going to lead to another level of mistrust and skepticism to the motive of law enforcement in general.”

It is definitely disturbing that it was officers of the law involved in such violations of citizens’ rights.

Especially since Harrington has already revealed he’s stolen and shared nude photos from women “a half dozen times in the last several years.”
And he always could be underselling what he was doing!
We’ll definitely be following this case to see if this “game” the officers were playing, which reportedly stretched from the Los Angeles station all the way to the station in Dublin, California, will cause these two main culprits to lose their jobs.
Or possibly even arrests for these highway patrolmen!
The California High Patrol office said they are performing “active and open investigations” so we guess we’ll all just have to stay tuned to see what happens!
