Disturbing news is being reported from Mexico.

According to a new CNN report, Camilo Séptimo keyboardist Jonathan Meléndez, 38, his pregnant wife Ana Paula, 35, their 3-year-old daughter, 21-year-old nanny Aleida Romero Victorio, and pet dog were all murdered in the rock star’s Mexico City home.

Just horrible. Absolutely horrible.

Per authorities, three victims were tied and shot in the head and one was shot in the back. Even the family dog had been bound and killed. Sickening.

A six-year-old boy was found safe and unharmed. It’s unclear if he survived because he was hiding or if the murderers chose to leave him behind.

Two men have been arrested in connection with the killings.

CNN‘s reporting states:

“An associate of Meléndez, identified as Diego Sebastián ‘N,’ is accused of being the probable perpetrator, the prosecutor’s office said. Another man identified as Gerardo ‘N’ is also under investigation for his alleged involvement.”

It’s believed the business associate used his connection with Meléndez to get into the house, and that’s when the horror began. A motive has not yet been reported.

Indie rock band Camilo Séptimo, who Meléndez helped form in 2013, has released a statement on the tragic loss of their friend and bandmate, writing in part on social media:

“Today we honor and celebrate his life, his music, his light, and what he shared with those of us fortunate enough to know him and walk alongside him.”

May justice be delivered swiftly in this absolutely shocking case, and may all the victims rest in peace.
