One foundation is saying thanks but no thanks!
The Prostate Cancer Foundation is refusing money from Reddit users who decided to donate after viewing the leaked photos of Jennifer Lawrence.
There exists a forum on the Reddit site that advocated users who had checked out J.Law’s photos to give money to the charity “in honor of Jennifer Lawrence.”
However, despite the fact that the forum raised over $6,000, the organization won’t accept the money:
“A Reddit user directed other Reddit users to make a donation to the Prostate Cancer Foundation without the Foundation’s knowledge…We would never condone raising funds for cancer research in this manner…Out of respect for everyone involved and in keeping with our own standards, we are returning all donations that results from this post.”
We think this is a smart move on the part of the Prostate Cancer Foundation. In our opinion, it’s dirty money.
