Good! This is exactly what needs to happen!
We reported yesterday that the U.S. Navy was investigating top officer, Captain Owen Honors, for his part in a series of leaked videos from 2006 and 2007 that featured him making homophobic slurs, yelling expletives, mimicking masturbation, and displaying other lewd behavior while he as second in command on the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise.
While many have come to his support, and claimed that the videos were ‘morale-boosters’ and taken out of context, the Navy doesn’t seem to think so, and have temporarily suspended Honors of his post while the matter is investigated!
Fair enough, we say!
We imagine that there are a lot of other ways to keep crew’s morale high without having to resort to homophobic slurs and lewd gestures, so we’re not sure that we buy that as an excuse!
What do U think?? Was Capt. Honors out of line??
