Cara Delevingne is the new cover model for Playboy!
On Instagram Monday, the publication teased their new cover star with a SUPER sexy pic of Cara, showing off her midriff and tattoos. The caption said:
“Tomorrow, get your hands on our Summer 2026 cover star.”
See the pic (below):
And on Tuesday, they shared the cover! The supermodel looks absolutely radiant in a slick black corset top with no bottoms. She’s lighting a cigarette in the snap, using a match with the flame shaped perfectly like the iconic Playboy bunny logo.
HAWT!
In the interview, Cara delved deep into her life, touching on topics like her sexuality and sobriety journey. While speaking with the outlet, she even opened up about her brand new music career. She revealed she almost didn’t even attach her name to her new songs:
“Originally, I wanted to release the music under a different name so no one would know it was me, because I just wanted it to go out there. But I didn’t want the preconceived ideas—how many people are going to say it’s bad without even listening to it?”
She continued:
“Of course, I accept that—people might think it’s bad whether they know or care if it’s me or not. But that’s not why I’ve done it.”
The actress said there are some “people who have always treated me as an artist first, never as a model, never tried to put me in a box” — and one of those is a music icon who inspired her to pursue music. None other than Stevie Nicks:
“Stevie Nicks came to my 10th show and gave me a ring off her finger. It felt so crazy and insane. I’m still reeling.”
Aww!! What an incredible stamp of approval! She’s going to be releasing her debut album this summer, so get ready, music lovers.

This all came about, not only from Stevie’s love, but through the changes in Cara’s personal life, too. At age 33, she said she feels like she’s in her sexual “prime”. After she officially came out as a lesbian at a Rosalía concert back in May, she said in the interview she feels like it was the perfect time for her to cover Playboy:
“I’ve never felt more comfortable in my body and in my sexuality. I feel like I’m in more of my prime as a woman and as a sexual being. It felt—for me, not even for anyone else—really fun. That is like an absolute dream.”
Aside from Kehlani‘s digital 2021 cover, she’s also the first out-and-proud lesbian to cover the magazine:
“I don’t know if an openly lesbian person has done a cover of Playboy.… I don’t know if that’s true, but in my head, I told myself that. I’m also someone that when people say, ‘Are you sure that’s a good thing?’—I don’t love the rules. I like doing things differently.”
Her partner Minke has helped her gain this confidence, too. Alongside her amazing journey with sobriety, of course!
Cara said following her struggles with addiction, sex is something that she considers to be a challenge sometimes:
“Sex sober after all of that is definitely difficult. It changes, but it’s so much deeper and so much more emotional. I used to put a higher value on sex and validation from people. I used to think, ‘Oh, I’m a pervert. I’m a really horny person.’ But I think [I was] seeking love and validation through sex.”
This is where Minke came in and changed her whole worldview. The Paper Towns star said she’s been focusing more on herself these days, with her partner’s support:
“Sex is a language, too, and your own sexuality, what turns you on, is like a beautiful dance you play with yourself. So many people spend so much more time on how they want to be perceived by others, and not their own sexual relationship with themselves—loving yourself and turning yourself on. It’s fun when you can discover that.”
She continued, speaking about her girlfriend:
“She’s a normie. I mean, she’s not sober, but she has a drink. We’re very different. I can’t date someone like myself, ever—I come with a lot of stuff … She’s the most incredible person I know. We’re best friends, obviously, lovers, and everything else, but I’ve never had a relationship like it and felt so close to someone and felt so seen.”
So sweet!
Meeting new people and mingling around has helped Cara immensely, too. She explained:
“Even when I go out, people want to talk to me about their own sobriety, and it saved my life. It’s no small thing. It’s not like talking about my eyebrows. It’s not for everyone, but I don’t know one person who has had a period of sobriety, whether it’s because a parent died or they needed to really process something, that [sobriety] hasn’t helped.”
We’re so glad to hear Cara is doing so well these days. Sending her so much love and support always!
