Cara Delevingne Taking Part In Sex Experiments For New Docuseries!

So much for social distance — Cara Delevingne is about to get up close and personal!

The actress and model has never been shy about her sexuality, and we know, um, maybe a bit too much about her own sex life. Now she’s going to be exploring sex in a whole new way: in docuseries form. Currently titled Planet Sex, the “high end” documentary series will “explore big questions about human sexuality, examining issues including relationships, sex appeal, and the popularity of pornography,” according to Deadline

The series will also explore different forms of gender identity, and will see the 28-year-old traveling around the world to visit “communities who experience gender and sexuality very differently.” Deadline also reports that Delevingne, who identifies as pansexual, will take part in sex experiments conducted by “world-leading sex labs.” We’re not sure what that looks like, but we won’t lie, we’re a bit curious!

The series will premiere on BBC3 in the UK and Hulu in the US, and is co-produced by the Paper Towns star’s production company Cara & Co

The newly single Delevingne says in a statement along with the show’s announcement:

“As someone who struggled for years to understand my sexual identity, I am so excited to be… making a series that could change the views of so many people through honest and personal conversations. I can only imagine what having a series like this would have meant to the 14-year-old me who struggled to understand feelings that were seen as non-conventional or different. If our series helps one young person have an easier conversation with their parents, we will have achieved one of our many goals in making this series.”

Simon Andreae, the show’s executive producer, adds:

“Cara is an incredibly powerful voice within the LGBTQI+ community, who is well positioned to be able to confront and question some of sex and gender’s most enduring and important mysteries.”

Ashley Benson’s ex, who has recently been getting cozy with Kaia Gerber, just wrapped production on the second season of her Amazon series Carnival Row alongside Katy Perry’s baby daddy Orlando Bloom. Deadline reports that filming for Planet Sex had already begun before quarantine; production has now resumed after the coronavirus break. (It does seem like it would be difficult to film a show about sex and relationships while a pandemic is going on, but if it’s doctors performing these sexperiments, we guess it’s OK?)

Overall, this sounds like a very inneresting project — and honestly, one Cara seems like the perfect person to host it! What do U think, Perezcious readers? Will you be tuning in?
