Is This Safe?? Cardi B Says She's 'Dying' As She Hits The Gym 1-Week Postpartum

Uhhh, Cardi B… Was this part of the doctor’s orders??

The WAP rapper ain’t wasting any time trying to snap back to her famous bikini bod after giving birth… But, like, how soon is TOO soon?? As we all saw, Cardi JUST gave birth to her third child last week. See (below):

But on Sunday, just a week later, the 31-year-old took to Instagram to share a selfie video of her “dying” while climbing the StairMaster at her gym. She wrote on her Story post:

“Since I’m off tonight I’m doing a late night gym session… No heavy lifting, no weight, just straight stair master until next week and I start with @fitking_plem”

Whoa! StairMaster already?? And then getting with a trainer next week?

This is Plem, btw…

Seems so fast for all that! But Cardi reckons she’s an old hand at this postpartum thing by now. She added:

“Remember ladies this is my third baby… With my other 2 babies I was still on bedrest on my first week postpartum”

So what’s the difference here?! Shouldn’t she still be on bedrest her first week? We know she’s done this all before, but that doesn’t change the fact her body just went through a MAJOR event… Is it even safe to be back at the gym just one week after giving birth?!

In a second Story post, she showed off the 30 minutes of exercise she put into the StairMaster. She wrote:

“Big thirty minutes on the stair master… IT’S PERSONAL!!!!”

According to the National Childbirth Trust, new moms should generally wait SIX WEEKS after giving birth for “high-impact exercise.” We guess “high-impact” is up for debate. However, the Mayo Clinic says:

“If you had an uncomplicated pregnancy and vaginal delivery, it’s generally safe to begin exercising a few days after giving birth or as soon as you feel ready. If you had a C-section, extensive vaginal repair or a complicated birth, talk to your health care provider about when to start an exercise program.”

We get that everyone is different, but we just hope she got this cleared with her doctor… That would be awful if she pushed her body too far!

But it sounds like Cardi felt this birth went easier than the others, so we guess she’s good to go? We just hope she’s right and doesn’t push herself too hard!
