As we previously reported, Carey Mulligan shocked fans when she arrived at the British Film Institute’s London Film Festival red carpet sans baby bump earlier this month and has slowly revealed the details surrounding her newborn.
The typically private celeb first discussed her little one last week, while promoting her new film Suffragette on The Graham Norton Show and noted that she did give birth to a baby girl three weeks prior. Sneaky, sneaky!

However, at Monday’s NYC premiere for the new film she FINALLY shared her tyke’s name — which is Evelyn!
What a beautiful name! Regarding how she came up with the little one’s moniker, the brunette beauty relayed:
“Oh, I just came up with!”
We’re not entirely shocked it’s taken so long for the Oscar nominee to dish about her infant since she’s known for keeping her private life under wraps. In fact, the An Education actress didn’t even debut her growing belly until this year’s Tony Awards.
This is Miz Mulligan’s first child with husband Marcus Mumford.
