Carey Mulligan REALLY, REALLY Wanted Her Great Gatsby Role

So much so that she became downright obsessive over it!

In a new interview, Carey Mulligan, who beat out practically every girl in Hollywood for the role of Daisy in Baz Luhrman’s new adaptation of The Great Gatsby, explained how she drove her agent mad while waiting to hear if the role was hers. She admits to calling her rep “every two hours for two weeks,” hoping to hear some good news. When she finally did, it was a pleasant shock for her! She told sources:

“I can’t believe I’m going to be working with the people I’m going to be working with. I have a copy of it by my bed that I’m obsessively reading.”

Research is important, but don’t drive yourself too crazy. Don’t want to get so worked up that you become annoying frantic!
