It all started when the songstress commented on co-host Brad Paisley‘s biceps. After asking him, “Brad, have you been working out?” he jokingly gestured to her baby bump and said:
“And you have really let yourself go.”
Paisley then referenced an incident that happened when they hosted together years earlier.
“Hey, remember last time when I accidentally revealed the gender of your baby?”
The Jesus, Take the Wheel diva responded:
“I mean, who could ever forget #BradBlewIt?”
Paisley then got down to business by asking her:
“Seriously Carrie, give me a little baby hint? Johnny or June? Keith or Nicole. Garth or Trisha. Tim or Faith. George or Tammy. Waylon or Willie?”
After some prodding, Underwood finally answered:
“Oh my gosh — Willie, it’s a Willie ok!?”
That same day, her rep confirmed the happy baby news to People!
