Carrie Underwood is a champion for those who cannot fight for themselves: the animals!
We previously mentioned that a bill had been passed by the Tennessee legislature that would force whistleblowers to release undercover video of animal abuse to the police within 48 hours of capturing it.
The problem is that animal rights activists say that 48 hours isn’t enough time to show an ongoing pattern of abuse.
Because the bill was passed, it’s now up to Governor Bill Haslam to sign it into law or veto it.
Carrie tweeted:
You said it, gurl!!
Finally, Rep. Holt has responded!
As a politician, Holt quickly backtracked, saying:
“I work for the people of Tennessee and Carrie Underwood, being an individual who lives in the state of Tennessee, I work for her as well.”
Yeah you do! She’s your boss! Don’t backtalk your boss! LOLz!
We’re glad she sort of got apologized to kind of. She comes out on top!
Way to go, Carrie! Keep up the good fight!!
