Okay, so Andy’s all grown up and probably won’t want any Cars 2 toys, but Disney seems to think A LOT of kids WILL want those toys, and according to retail projections the toys will EXCEED Toy Story 3 sales, making the franchise “the largest merchandise program in licensing industry history.”
Total retail sales for the Cars franchise have ALREADY crossed the $10 billion mark, so it won’t surprise us at all if Toy Story 3 retail sales get trumped by Cars 2.
What would REALLY be a shocker is if there was all of a sudden a Ratatouille resurgence, and THAT franchise ended up with higher retail sales than both the Toy Story AND Cars franchises! LOLz!
Team Cars? Team Toy Story? Team Ratatouille???
