Beloved actress Catherine O’Hara has passed away at age 71 on Friday, two sources told TMZ. The cause of death is unknown at this time.
The Canadian-American comedian was best known for her roles in hits like Beetlejuice, Home Alone (as Macaulay Culkin‘s mother), Best in Show, and Schitt’s Creek, in which she starred as Moira Rose.

She was most recently in Seth Rogen‘s Apple TV+ series The Studio, for which she earned an Emmy nomination. She won an Emmy in 2020 for Schitt’s Creek, as well as in 1982 for her writing on the sketch comedy series SCTV Network 90.
She leaves behind her husband, Bo Welch, and sons, Luke, 29, and Matthew, 32. Our hearts go out to her entire family and all her friends. She was so loved by so many.
