Both Catherine Zeta-Jones and actor Kirk Douglas are asking Manhattan’s Federal Court for leniency when it comes to Cameron Douglas‘ sentencing.
They each wrote letters with 93-year-old Kirk vouching for his grandson:
“He [Cameron] didn’t express any self-pity, nor did he ask for any. The only sorrow he expressed was for the trouble he had caused others. I’m convinced Cameron could be a fine actor… I hope I can see that happen before I die. I love Cameron.”
Catherine added in her letter that Cameron is “a considerate, worthy human being.”
Cameron, Michael Douglas‘ son, is facing more than 10 years in prison for dealing methamphetamine. His sentencing is next week.
We wonder if Kirk and Catherine’s letters will have any effect on the judge’s decision!
