CeeLo Green had gotten off with just a plea to felony drug possession after a woman accused him of slipping her Ecstasy and sexually assaulting her.
But then he tweeted some really warped views on rape.
The former Voice coach already lost his TV show in the wake of the disturbing comments.
He also deleted his Twitter account, presumably to try to avoid further trouble.
Now he’s back. And he’s tweeted an apology:
I truly and deeply apologize for the comments attributed to me on Twitter. Those comments were idiotic, untrue and not what I believe.

“Idiotic” we get. But the comments that were “attributed” to him? Is he implying he didn’t say that you have to be conscious to be raped? Or that he meant to say something else??
Either way, that bit really feels like a bit of a non-apology. Kind of “I’m sorry for those awful things, IF I did them.”
Of course, CeeLo wouldn’t be the first to say something awful on Twitter.
