Talk about a confession that came back to haunt her!
One of the breakout stars of Hulu’s new reality TV series Million Dollar Nannies is finding herself at the center of a controversy after opening up about a past relationship that crossed a major professional boundary.
Leah Barrs, who previously worked as a nanny for high-profile families including the KarJenners, and now stars on the streamer’s new reality series, revealed on camera in one ep that she once slept with the father of a child she was caring for!!! And while she admits it was a mistake, her explanation afterward has people really raising their eyebrows!
As viewers of Million Dollar Nannies know, the series follows Barrs and a group of fellow childcare professionals as they attempt to launch a luxury nanny agency in Ibiza while working for some of the island’s wealthiest families. But one of the season’s biggest storylines had nothing to do with childcare and everything to do with a secret from Barrs’ past.
Ya see, on the show, Barrs confessed at one point to fellow nanny Olivia McMahon that she had previously hooked up with one of her clients. What started as a private conversation quickly became a hot topic among the rest of the cast and eventually spread through their network of affluent clients. The fallout was serious enough that Barrs reportedly lost one nannying job during the summer and later faced criticism from others in the group who worried the revelation could damage all of their professional reputations.
Now, speaking to People about the situation on Monday, Barrs is reflecting on what happened years ago. For one, she said:
“I was young — I was 22 at the time. And I shouldn’t have done that.”
Yeah, no kidding!
Barrs explained that she knew the father socially before she ever worked for him, and maintains that he was single when the encounter happened. Even so, she acknowledged that the circumstances created an obvious conflict:
“I was working for him that night, so I shouldn’t have crossed that line. It was something I regret doing.”
Yeah…
Fair enough, right? Well… not so fast!
Moments after saying that, Barrs appeared to soften her regret and offered a suddenly different perspective on the situation:
“I guess I don’t regret it because you learn from your mistakes, but I’m not that person today.”
Wait, so she regrets it… but also doesn’t regret it? You can see why fans might be confused!

Barrs also told People that she never expected her admission about an event from a few years ago to become such a massive storyline on the show now. According to her, she was simply chatting with a friend after a night out and didn’t think much of it at the time:
“I’m just talking to my friend. We had a fun night out, we were drinking, you know, and I didn’t give the full details. But you know Liv, she loves to talk.”
Unfortunately for Leah, reality television cameras were rolling — and once that genie was out of the bottle, there was no putting it back in.
As for the mystery dad, well, you shouldn’t expect a reunion anytime soon. When asked whether she still keeps in touch with him, Barrs told the mag that she doesn’t “really talk to him anymore.” Which, uhhh, like, not really or not at all?!
Either way, when pressed further, she made it clear that chapter of her life is firmly in the past:
“He’s happily married. Pack it up.”
Well then! Message received.
