Celebs are NOT happy with Instagram‘s recent changes!
In case you haven’t heard, the pic-heavy social network is re-jiggering its home feed, making it so users no longer see a chronological order of posts based on the time published, but rather an algorithm-based selection of what IG wants you to see…

That already hasn’t been going over so well with some celebs, but now as the changes are being rolled out today, famous folks from all walks of entertainment are FLIPPING. OUT.
In fact, they are getting SO angry and up in arms about it, they’re sharing flat-out incorrect information!
Here, ch-ch-check out one example of what celebs are now sharing about IG’s non-chronological feed, from Ellie Goulding (below):
Im not down with the Instagram changes but if you do this it means you can keep it as normal and still see things in chronological order etc. 🙏🏼A photo posted by elliegoulding (@elliegoulding) on Mar 28, 2016 at 8:33am PDT
So Ellie — dear Ellie — writes in her caption that if people turn on her IG notifications, they “can keep it as normal and still see things in chronological order.”
But that’s just not true!
If you turn on a celeb’s notifications on IG, that won’t change at all how you see their posts in chronological order or not on the site’s home page! What it WILL do is send your phone a message every single time that celeb posts, with an invitation to personally see every single one of those posts.

Which is fine, if that’s what you want — but turning on a bunch of notifications aren’t going to magically return your IG feed to chronological order; it’s just going to give you a LOT of phone notifications every single day…
Goulding is FAR from the only celeb to post variations of that meme, though. See a sampling (below) of a LOT of angry and misinformed celebs:
Instagram is changing it’s feed so PLEASE turn on notifications to ensure you still see my posts. ├░┼╕ΓÇ£┬╕ DO IT! Because I love you ├ó┬¥┬ñ├»┬╕┬Å AND… because I will give you chocolate when I see you. ├░┼╕┬ì┬½A photo posted by Kyle Newman (@kyle_newman) on Mar 28, 2016 at 8:03am PDT
So idk what is going on with insta but apparently if you want to still be able to see my posts you need to click on those three dots up there and turn on your notifications! 💜✌🏻️🦄 Thanks for the constant support and love, love you all!A photo posted by devon windsor (@devwindsor) on Mar 28, 2016 at 5:26am PDT
Lame lame lame – Instagram is changing so if you want to continue to see my posts in your feed – click the little three dots up here and click “turn on my notifications” to see pictures of my puppy, selfies, and the occasional inspirational quote. I’ll try to do better in the future. ├░┼╕╦£┬│ comment “boom SHAKALAKA” when you’ve done it 😉A photo posted by Rachel Platten (@rachelplatten) on Mar 28, 2016 at 2:22am PDT
To keep me in your feed turn on my notifications! Instagram is changing!A photo posted by Ashley Tisdale (@ashleytisdale) on Mar 28, 2016 at 8:15am PDT
Turn my notifications ON & comment when you’re done for a comment back or like ├░┼╕╦£┼á I will be doing this all day ├░┼╕╦£╦£A photo posted by Cameron Dallas (@camerondallas) on Mar 28, 2016 at 9:30am PDT
At least Jamie King is sharing it with the right info:
TURN ON NOTIFICATIONS because has decided to control our feeds according to likes not chronological order. So, if you would like to see my feed post them in the moment, which is the most logical way to see someone’s Instagram, please turn on the button. ├ó┬¥┬ñ├»┬╕┬Å├░┼╕ΓÇÖΓÇó├░┼╕╦£┬ìA photo posted by Jaime King (@jaime_king) on Mar 28, 2016 at 7:42am PDT
Oh, celebrities…
We wish there was a one-button to solution to this!
