We know this is a very important question for many moms. After having children, pelvic muscles can become weak, which could cause some unfortunate accidents.
Perezcious reader Sue asks:
Pelvic floor exercises – do they really work? Its a silly question I know, but I am just not sure I believe them!
Celebrity trainer and co-author of Mom Energy Kathy Kaelher says:
You can’t believe how important pelvic floor exercises are, for women especially who have had children those pelvic floor muscles become weak. This can be catastrophic for many when a accidental leak from a sneeze, cough or exercise with impact sends you running to the bathroom and then the closet. The best exercise to do are kegels. Super easy and you don’t even have to go to a gym. Simply squeeze the muscles that you would when you are running to the bathroom to pee but you have to hold it. Those are it. While sitting at your desk, at the stop light or in bed. Squeeze those muscles in 3 sets of 10. You will be happy you did.
Good to know that there is relief!
