He’s a 16-year-old CEO! WTF?!
At age 12 this kid young man had a serious passion for saving the environment — the kind of passion most people can only muster up for marathons of their fave TV show or new vampire book release parties.
When Charles Orgbon III was in middle school he created a youth lead organization that addresses environmental issues AND a website called Recycling Education that served as a resource that talked about those issues.
This guy really had a vision that Recycling Education could encourage youth to join the green movement. So, at the ripe old age of 16, he became the CEO of Greening Forward – the nonprofit environmental advocacy organization that sponsors Earth Savers Club.
Charles and Greening Forward are working with educators to create lesson plans that incorporate youth voices into the learning process. The little club he started with just 2 members now has 500 members engaging 6,000 other people via community events INTERNATIONALLY! That’s right, there’s 21 Earth Savers Club nationally, and 3 internationally in Africa and Indonesia.
That’s one incredible kid!!
