If for some reason you missed it, Rosie O’Donnell‘s daughter Chelsea O’Donnell reportedly overdosed and was hospitalized on Monday night. So sad!

However, as news of Chelsea’s incident made headlines more details obviously dropped to the press. While Radar initially claimed that the former talk show host’s daughter was admitted to a hospital, E! News has since confirmed the 19-year-old’s admittance to a Long Island hospital with their own insiders!
There’s no word yet on when Chelsea might be released, however, sheis said to be “safe” and both “alert and awake”. Well that’s good to hear!
Not to mention, the teen is currently undergoing a psychiatric evaluation where she’ll be examined by several mental health professionals. The program in which Chelsea enrolled in is offered state wide and performs emergency psychiatric evaluations if need be, as well as helps to treat the patients through interventions or referrals to health professionals.
Nonetheless, the comedienne’s rep has remained relatively tight lipped about this troubling story. Also, we should note, Rosie has gone about her usual business on Twitter and Instagram — so here’s hoping that’s a sign Chelsea’s doing okay!
We can’t imagine how difficult this time must be for the O’Donnell family and we wish them the best as they deal with this most recent struggle!
