Not only did Cher Lloyd say sayonara to Simon Cowell and his record label, but she did it a whole year and a half ago kept in on the hush hush!!
In a recent interview with Larry King, the X Factor starlet admitted to dropping Simon like an over-cooked Hot Pocket!
Why was she so quick to escape from his clutches? Mostly because he was too controlling, it seems!
The 20-year-old songstress admitted:
“I don’t really speak to him anymore. I left his label a year and a half ago and I got my record deal here [in the US]… I would like to think he misses me now… I think he found me – I wouldn’t say disobedient – but a little bit [difficult]. I have a specific thing I am reaching for, so I have my own idea of how I’m going to get it. We all have a specific thing in life that we want to get to and I don’t deal very well with people having [control].”
Larry then asked her point blank if Simon was a “control freak”.
Cher replied:
“Yeah, I don’t deal well with that.”
Wowzers!!! We had no idea there was so much behind-the-scenes drama!
So who’s repping her now? Would your minds blow again if we told you Simon’s ex-X costar, L.A. Reid?!?!
We wonder if that move strained their relationship!
