Meryl Streep has been under fire quite a bit lately due to her proximity to Harvey Weinstein.
After Rose McGowan mentioned her personally as someone “who happily worked for” the accused rapist, a series of posters went up saying #SheKnew about it the whole time.

Despite the fact these seem to have originated among alt-right protesters still angry at the Death Becomes Her actress for badmouthing their orange leader, Meryl has still been on the defensive lately.
Could she really have known all this time?
Well fellow Oscar winner Cher has something to say about the kind of woman Meryl is, sharing a story we’ve never heard on Twitter Tuesday:
We’d certainly take Cher as a character witness over some alt-right conspiracy spinners.
