Say what you will about the film, but you have to admit – the music was really good.
Cher took to her Twitter Tuesday to share her disappointment over Burlesque not getting nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Song. She tweeted to her followers:
“We didn’t get a nomination 4 best song! That sucks! Diane’s song is so beautiful. It’s hard to understand how u win. The Golden Globe 4 BEST SONG & not even get nominated by the OSCARS? Oh well it is..what it is ,,,,the sun is still shining !”
You Haven’t Seen The Last Of Me is a lovely song and we hope Diane Warren, the extraordinary songwriter, knows she did a wonderful job, but it just wasn’t her year.
But no worries! We doubt very much that this will be the last we hear from Diane. A virtuoso like her has thousands of more songs to write and numerous more accolades to receive.
Don’t let this get you down, bb! There’s always next year!
