On Wednesday, Cheryl and Liam Payne welcomed a baby boy into the world, revealing they had yet to settle on a name for the bundle of joy.
But based on old interviews conducted before the pop superstars even got together, it seems like they both already had some monikers in mind if they ever had a boy!

In a 2012 interview with GQ, the former Girls Aloud singer revealed she already had a name picked out for her future son. She told the mag:
“I love kids, I’m obsessed with babies. I know that’s what I was put on the earth to do ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ to be a mother…Of course I’ve thought about baby names a million times. I like Alfie for a little boy.”
Awww, little Alfie Payne. Or Alfie Fernandez-Versini-Cole-Tweedy if he takes his momma’s last name!
Though the former One Direction star also had his heart set on a particular baby name — one that could be used no matter the gender of his newborn!
Speaking to Hits Radio during his 1D days, the 23-year-old said:
“I like the name Taylor. Taylor’s pretty neutral for a boy or a girl. That’s what I’m going to call my first child if I had children.”
Hmm… we wonder if Cheryl had anything to say about that.

Will either pop star will get the baby name they originally wanted? Or will Cheryl and Liam have to agree on something completely different? (We think Simon has a nice ring to it — ha!)
No matter what they end up calling the kid, he’s gonna have a pretty sweet life ahead of him!
