In what’s sure to bring out the claws, Girls Aloud singer and X Factor judge Cheryl Cole is “temporarily” splitting off from the group to work on her solo career.
She, will, however, be joining the ladies on their upcoming UK tour.
A spokesman for the group confirmed that Girls Aloud will be taking a break to pursue various solo endeavors from “music to acting to beauty to fashion” – which just sounds like a diplomatic way of saying that Cole might be pulling a Beyonce.
Earlier this year, however, Girls Aloud signed a record deal for three new albums, including one for fall 2010.
There is no official confirmation yet on who Cole will be working with or when to expect her first solo album, but, one of our faves, FrankMusik Tweeted that he would be working with Cole.
We thought, for sure, Nadine would have been the first one to attempt a solo album!!!
