Chester Bennington‘s widow is now a happily remarried woman!
The late Linkin Park frontman’s wife, Talinda Bennington, officially remarried in a special private ceremony in Hawaii on Saturday. The 43-year-old newlywed said ‘I do’ to Los Angeles County firefighter Michael Fredman; the couple first got engaged back in April, before announcing their engagement publicly in September.
Bennington passed away in July of 2017.

All reports confirm Saturday was a very happy day for both families, and even Bennington’s family approves of Fredman and Talinda together. That makes for smooth sailing considering the musician has three children with Talinda — son Tyler and twin daughters Lilly and Lila. According to TMZ, all the kids were there for the ceremony along with other friends and family members. Great!!!
There was just one little problem, despite all the happy news going around. As you can see (below), Talinda posted the wedding notice to her Instagram page along with a message to “set something straight” concerning early media reports about her nuptials.

And in that comment section underneath the notice, she clarified something about the date of this wedding compared to her first one back in 2005 with Chester:
“With joy and love I want to set something straight. ON JANUARY 4th, I wed a wonderful man, great friend, and son this weekend. We celebrated with all of our family and friends on the beautiful island of O’ahu. The day we chose was a day of meaning, in many different ways. My anniversary with my love, Chester, JAN 1 Was NOT THE DAYE [sic]. Jan 1st will always be the day I married Chester. I would never paint over that beautiful day with anything else. To all of the tabloids who printed a false story, inciting anger to me and my husband, who has upset lots of fans, and to create anger and pain, I ask you FOR WHAT?? To make money off of a false headline should be criminal.”
So, as it turns out, these two were married three days after what would have been Talinda’s 15th anniversary with the Linkin Park band member. Gotcha.
Regardless, we’re happy for the new couple, and we wish them the best as they ride off into the sunset to enjoy married life! Here’s to them having an amazing time together forever!
