School Says Child's Homemade Lunch Is No Good, So They Give Three Chicken Nuggets

A four year old took a turkey and cheese sandwich, a banana, a bag of chips, and apple juice to school.
But she could only eat three chicken nuggets instead. WTF?!?!
A lunch monitor told the little girl that her lunch was healthy enough so they gave a school lunch instead. Her mother asked what happened and she said she only had “three chicken nuggets.”
USDA guidelines state that only pre-K lunches need the following servings: one meat, one grain, and two fruits or a vegetable.
A spokesperson for the Division of Child Development and Early Education and Child Development at the Department of Health and Human Services said that the homemade lunch should have been allowed.
The mom stated that she packs her daughter’s lunch by what she eats. The youngster doesn’t like vegetables so she eats them at home under mom’s watchful eye.
On top of this, the school BILLED the mom for the lunch!
Seems like this was a bit overboard for a perfectly satisfactory lunch.
This also comes after the fact that the USDA said pizza was a vegetable.
