China Seeks Alternatives To Animal Testing For Cosmetics!

Glorious news!
China’s State Food and Drug Administration has recently released a draft proposal approving the use of animal testing alternatives.
Having spent twelve months on research of alternative testing, Beijing Technology & Business University’s Professor Zhao Hua acknowledges that animal welfare and protection is becoming more and more popular with the development of the economy.
So logistically speaking, it only makes sense to move past dated methods of testing.
Another diligent researcher behind the movement is Anthony James. CU Hong Kong’s head of Laboratory Animal Services states:

“Cosmetics are by and large not a medical product saving lives. It├óΓé¼Γäós not a need, it├óΓé¼Γäós a want. There has to be a higher bar set for animal testing for cosmetics and it shouldn├óΓé¼Γäót be permissible at all where there are alternatives.”

Well said!
Words can’t express how encouraging it is to see the world of beauty take a more progressive route all over the world!
