Introducing...Helen Keller Sunglasses!?!?

Now we really didn’t see this one coming!
A company in China has decided to hawk sunglasses named after an inneresting figure…Helen Keller. As in the BLIND Helen Keller.
Apparently the American author and political activist is a staple in China’s school curriculum and is seen as an “exemplary figure that overcame her disabilities to make a mark ├óΓé¼ΓÇ£ and [is] a socialist to boot”.
Chen Wenjing, a spokesperson for Xiamen Jinzhi company behind the shades, confirmed they’re well aware Keller was blind, but value her “philanthropist spirit which spread optimism around the world.”
As if all of this isn’t eyeronic enough, the ad’s motto is ├óΓé¼┼ôYou see the world, the world sees you.├óΓé¼┬¥
No words.
What do you U think of all this? Great tribute or just plain tacky?!!
